As you may or may not know, the 2008 TCAT Formosan Cup is quickly approaching.  This annual tradition has been a part of the Taiwanese community since the 1970’s and as it enters into its 35^th year; the TCAT Formosan Cup has become one of the premiere Taiwanese/Asian softball tournaments in all of North America.  As always, we are holding this year’s tournament at Markham’s best-kept baseball diamonds at the Milliken Mills Community Center.  This year we plan on making the 2008 edition a monumental event. 

Having teams from all over the Greater Toronto Area as well as from the United States has helped build this tournament into an international event and has increased its exposure in the community.  The community following has grown and the past two years we have had Markham councilor, Alex Chiu join us to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.  In addition, the Markham Economist and Sun also reported on our event last year as well.  This year, we are planning on having roughly 25-30 teams attending this year tournament and every year, we strive to deliver the most competitive and enjoyable softball experience available for its participants and spectators.

However, an endeavor such as this can only be successful through not only countless volunteers hours but also on the financial support of individuals and organizations such as yours.
